At the EWE Group, we believe that balancing career and family is of vital importance. Our employees have many opportunities to reconcile their job-related goals with their personal interests. An in-house childcare service is a key element in this, while our flexible model for working hours and job types also helps make it easier to achieve that essential work-life balance. Anyone who needs extra support can rely on our “parent and child” office in Oldenburg.
Our childcare facilities are available to all employees, and they see to it that young families and single parents receive support in the form of an excellent crèche for children aged between two months and six/twelve years.
Our Biberburg and Biberland day-care centres are open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the year, and special arrangements are available for parents who need additional supervision for their children. Then, for eight weeks a year during school holidays, we also provide crèche facilities for children between the ages of four and ten who otherwise don’t come to Biberburg or Biberland on a regular basis.
Both crèches have their own kitchens where we prepare meals that are as tasty as they are healthy, in line with guidelines published by the German Nutrition Society. All dishes are freshly prepared every day.
In addition to this service, our IT subsidiary BTC also has a larger day-care facility called “The Clever Foxes”. Located right by the BTC office in Oldenburg, staff here take care of children from the ages of eight weeks to twelve years, all year round from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. BTC childcare is also available during school holidays and on “bridge” days – the day falling between a midweek bank holiday and the weekend.
