EWE has reoriented its strategy and divested itself from the business of building and operating offshore wind farms. At the end of 2020, EWE sold EWE OSS GmbH to the VINCI Group. The company now operates under the name of Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore GmbH.
The offshore wind farms Alpha Ventus, Riffgat and Trianel Windpark Borkum II are still property of EWE. Wind energy expert Dr. Jörg Buddenberg (Joerg.Buddenberg@ewe.de) is available as a contact for anyone interested.
Our activities in the areas of onshore wind energy, biogas and photovoltaics are combined in EWE ERNEUERBARE ENERGIEN GmbH.
Iin the spring of 2021 Alterric has started, a company established as a joint venture between the Aloys Wobben Foundation and EWE. Alterric develops, plans and manages wind farms, and is the largest onshore green electricity producer in Germany.
